“Woodturning is a creative meditation between me and my selected piece of wood. Opening the form on the lathe opens the possibilities I consider in designing a finished piece. Each species brings its own characteristics to the design. The finished bowl combines aesthetic choice with turning skills to produce a one of a kind expression in wood, both beautiful and useful.”
