A versatile 3D artist with a contemporary/primitive style. I peel, dye and assemble farmed willow into unique wall sculptures. Custom orders welcome. Owners include the american craft collection of the Smithsonian, Mt Vernon Hospital, Stanford Hospital, Apple Computer, Genetec, County of Los Angeles, City of San Francisco, City of Portland, and many more. I am also working with encaustic, using songbirds juxtaposed with ancient parchments, nests, landscapes, etc in both 2 and 3D wall pieces.

A professional artist for over 40 years, my work can also be found at many WA and OR galleries. Check my website for current galleries and art shows. On Whidbey, my work can be seen at Rob Schouten Gallery at the Greenbank Farm complex. Through the summer months I participate in art shows all over the Pacific Northwest. See website for current events.
