David Hundley is an accomplished commercial and international travel photographer. After earning a BFA from the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA, he moved to New York City and became studio manager for J. Barry O’Rourke. After traveling the world with Barry for nearly 4 years, he moved to Paris and worked as freelance photographer. He returned to New York City and accepted a position as senior staff photographer with the packaging and design firm, Gerstman+Meyers. As his family grew, he returned to his native Seattle.
In 2019, David, his wife Abigail and their dog Cody, sold their longtime Seattle home and bought a house on 4 acres on Whidbey Island, Washington. In 2020, they completed the photo studio and he retired from Louis Dreyfus to pursue art photography full-time. His return to full-time fine art continues a journey that began at Lincoln High School in the 70’s. This journey has produced images from remote and fascinating locations, to his new Whidbey Island backyard.
